Using small change to drive big change.
It’s in an entrepreneur’s nature to turn an opportunity into something that makes a big difference.
The 5Cent campaign aimed to highlight the power of our least valued unit of currency.
115 five cent coins is all it takes to make a huge difference to a life.
That is a handful of coins to give someone access to quality education, health care, a good home or a better income.
Changing things one piece at a time.
Building on a three-year campaign to encourage Australians to donate their five-cent coins to social entrepreneur projects in needy communities around the work, a revamped campaign including, pitch development and online fundraising activity was launched across selected sites around Australia.
Creating the right conditions for change.
A defining marker of success for 5Cent would be its ability to help transfer knowledge, motivation, and next step actions.

In an attempt to infuse the experience with a bit of fun and remind people that they were working for a great cause, we made communications visual to prompt a positive emotive response.
Changing for good.
This campaign exceeded previous years fundraising, with over $275,000 raised.
The ygap CEO saw this as vital to the success of the campaign, because it effectively engaged existing ygap supporters who further promoted the campaign to others.
